About the project
The project focuses on the development of a new generation of 5-axis CNC machining centers with a modular drive system that enables switching between a linear motor and a ball screw drive, as well as the application of polymer concrete and composite materials. The project includes industrial research and experimental development activities, including the development, manufacture, testing, and validation of a functional prototype.
Project objective
The objective of the project is, through cooperation between entrepreneurs and scientific research institutions, to develop an innovative new-generation CNC 5-axis machining center that will enable easier adaptation to different production requirements and increase the precision, energy efficiency, and flexibility of machining processes. The developed solution will allow the drive system to be changed between a linear motor and a ball screw, so that the same machine can be adapted to different machining requirements – from high speeds and precision to processes that require greater robustness and cutting forces. The project also contributes to the development of research and innovation capacities, strengthening cooperation between the business and scientific research sectors, and the development of advanced and more sustainable production technologies.
Expected project results
The result of the project will be the development and validation of a new generation of 5-axis CNC machining centers with a modular drive system and the application of advanced composite materials. The project will increase the research and development capacities of project partners, strengthen cooperation between the business and scientific research sectors, and create preconditions for the market application of the developed innovative product.
